Foods That Burn Fat Fast – Do They Exist?
Foods that burn fat fast – what’s the deal? If there really are those kinds of foods out there, then why aren’t family doctors and nutritionists giving out that information to their overweight patients? I mean, other then grapefruit, has any healthcare professional ever told you that you could burn fat fast just by eating the right foods the right way?
I went to a weight loss clinic about a little over a year ago, and I’ll tell you straight, I got fantastic results for the two months I stayed with it. Of course, they didn’t say anything about foods that burn fat fast. I did lose 25 lbs. in those two months, but it did in fact include taking three prescribed diet pills a day, a few of times a day, and my calorie intake stayed at 1000 or less a day as well. And yes, I used video workouts like Tae-Bo and Power90 (the original) too.
It was truly pretty easy as long as I stayed on the prescription diet pills, but unfortunately, they weren’t something I could stay on for very long. You see, the longer I stayed on them, the more irritable I got and the more aggressive my behavior became. To tell you the truth, I believe I scared my two kids a little bit. I know I scared myself. So I quit going to that clinic and I quit using the pills. I would really have appreciated being made aware that there were natural alternatives like foods that burn fat fast.
So what are these foods, and why should you trust that there are foods that operate with your body to help you stay fit and at a weight that is healthy for you? Really, if you observe how the universe works, at the way all of creation operates beautifully and in a very delicate balance, it make sense that you were created to work efficiently as well. It’s only that with all of the modern conveniences like pre-packaged foods made to be ready in just 2 minutes, our bodies no longer function just right.
Let me prove to you that your body operates in accordance with the amount of food you eat each day. Have you ever been on a severely reduced calorie diet? At first, you really start to lose some pounds. Then, all at once, your weight loss decreases and then comes to a screeching halt! Why does that happen? Well, it’s due to the fact that your body was accustomed to burning the number of calories you previously ate before you went on this “starvation” diet, and so at first, consuming less calories meant burning more calories than you were taking in.
But here’s the “catch 22”, and the evidence. As soon as your body adjusted to the current amount of calories being consumed, your metabolism adjusted accordingly. In other words, your body started burning calories in response to the new amount being consumed. Fewer calories in, less calories being burned by your body. That’s where those pesky little “plateaus” come into effect in your diet. And cut the calories back too much, and your body begins to freak out a little and begins to actually store more calories as fat as a matter of self preservation. If you’ve suffered through one of those kinds of diets, than you know exactly what I’m talking about.
So in regards to those foods that burn fat fast. What types of food do that, anyway? *They’re called catabolic foods, and according to Dr. Jeremy E. Kaslow, M.D., F.A.C.P. and F.A.C.A.A.I., these foods burn more calories than they supply, which is a pretty good deal if you ask me. An example of a catabolic food would be the good ole apple. According to Dr. Kaslow and those who subscribe to the catabolic foods theory, although a medium sized apple has approximately 85 calories, your body would need 99 more calories to be able to metabolize it. So when you eat an apple, you are actually burning more calories than you are consuming for a general loss of calories, or negative calorie effect.
